A great new product for your small electronic device

We all have more electronic devices than we know what to do with. I have my I-mac, my laptop, my IPad and my IPhone. Too many of those things in my opinion, but I've gotten attached to them and am trying to remember how I managed back when I didn't have a computer or even a telephone that wasn't attached to a cord. I most certainly want to believe that life was easier back then. I could go to the grocery store and know that I had at least a half hour without my children calling to complain that "he said ...." and "she said...". No phone in the grocery store aisle and I knew that the only thing to distract me in the car was the car radio or the children screaming at each other in the back seat.

Remember those days... and the days when we talked to each other and didn't send e-mails, let alone text messages. I managed all those years driving in bad weather without a cell phone and I always found a phone to call home if I was going to be arriving after curfew for any reason whatsoever. Now even 7 year olds have cell phones. I had a little girl ask me to hold her cell phone while she jumped in the Bounce House. She told me she was 7 and that was the way her mother always knew where she was. Sigh... Cell Phones work most everywhere and just because one has a cell phone certainly doesn't mean we always know where they are.

But those days have gone and now we are in this electronic world. And truly I don't want to not have my laptop, or my phone, or my Ipad. Convenience is offered and I can call home to see what is on the list I left on the counter or better yet, I typed the list on my laptop, saved it to my Dropbox in a pdf and open it on my IPhone is IBooks right there in the aisle and I've eliminated the lost list. And believe me I've lost many a list in my day. I can call for help when the car is broken down on the side of the road, and I can play Words with Friends when I'm riding in the car and we've talked about everything there is to talk about. And texting and video calling, my goodness we've almost become the Jetson's. Just waiting for the hover craft to be developed.

So if you've managed to read through all this garble and now I'll get back to this great product. This would be a great give-away for a cell phone company, a bank, a community college or just about any kind of business. And your name would always be on your customer's desk. Watch the video to see the "smart phone desk stand". A simple red triangle. I have one on my desk and it certainly makes it handy to always have my phone handy. If you want fast forward to 1:40 to see this product. But I invite you to watch the whole video for several cool ideas for promoting you and your business!!

Thanks for reading and watching.

This thing called blogging & copyright issue.

I am trying to learn about this thing called blogging and am a bit slow at it. One has to be so careful what they say in a blog post. I don't think there is such a thing as an original idea anymore. And if you happen to come up with an idea you better research it thoroughly before writing about it because if you don't you might get called on a copyright violation. Don't get me wrong, I think everyone should have the first rights to their work. We are all working hard to make a living and many of us are selling, teaching, creating the same kinds of things.

I recently had an idea about a design. Began to work on it and discovered through research that someone else had already created a similar design. Stop the work, go back to the drawing board and try again. I'm almost afraid to write or design as I don't wish to infringe on anyone's copyright. I hope the world doesn't come to a place where just the use of two or three words together becomes a copyright issue. For example, I know of another business that uses the name Rye Printing. It is located in Rye, New York. My business is Rye Printing & Splash Designz. Rye Printing named because the original owners last name was Rye and then I added the Splash Designz when I purchased the business. And we are a long way from Rye, NY. I don't know which business came first but fortunately it has never been an issue. I get their email sometimes as their e-mail ends with ryeprinting.com and mine with ryeprint.com. I just forward it along to them and all is well.

But with that said, I'm going to continue to try this thing called blogging and hope that I don't infringe on anyone's copyright.
